Detailed Itinerary of the 3-Day Uganda Gorilla Flying Safari
Your 3-Day Uganda Gorilla Flying Safari starts from Entebbe International Airport. You’ll board a light aircraft and fly to Kihihi Airstrip from where you’ll transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The flight from Entebbe to Kihihi takes about 1 to 2 hours.
Upon Arrival in Kihihi, our representative will pick you up and drive you to your booked safari lodge within Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You’ll check in at the lodge and enjoy the rest of the day relaxing at the lodge.
In the afternoon, you can choose to unwind or join optional activities such as:

On the 2nd day of your 3-Day Uganda Gorilla Flying Safari, Wake up early in the morning and enjoy breakfast at the lodge. After breakfast, depart the lodge and head to the park headquarters. At the park headquarters, you’ll join other travelers for a briefing session about mountain gorillas.
During the briefing, the park officials provide you with all the necessary information about the experience and how best you can stay safe during this adventure. Later after the briefing, you’ll be divided into group of 8 and each group will be allocated a gorilla family to trek.
After the allocation, you’ll then be assigned armed ranger guides and trackers who lead the way into the forest. Grab your trekking stick and follow your guides into the forests to search for the mountain gorillas. The trekking time can vary depending on the location of the gorillas but expect to spend anywhere between 30 minutes to 6 hours in the forest.
As you navigate the forest, you’ll encounter different creature, vegetation, and birdlife. As you approach these primates, your guide will inform you and tell you what to do. It is recommended to abide by the gorilla trekking rules and regulations at all times while in the forest.
You’ll finally approach these primates and enjoy viewing them for a full hour – with opportunities to film them and take photographs. After your allocated viewing time elapses, you’ll start your journey back to the park headquarter or visitors center. You’ll be presented with a certificate before transferring back to the lodge. Visitors will then spend the rest of the day relaxing at the lodge.

When is the Best Time to go on Bwindi Impenetrable National
Bwindi is a year-round destination, although the best time for gorilla trekking is when the dry season is:
